Just wanted to wish all you Savage riders in the USA a very happy and safe 4th of July. I'm over here in Italy...and, yes, they do have the 4th of July over here too. But it's just a working day like any other. A few Americans from the nearby Aviano Airbase blew off some fireworks nearby. That was fun. We'll watch the news coverage from the States tomorrow morning (6 hours differance between countries) I got my bike ride in today though. Spent 2 hours running around looking for a couple of large U-bolts to clamp my TV satellite dish to my antenna pole. No dice. It's a standard hardware item in the US, but here I have to find a special store that majors on antennas. I'll find it tomorrow! But it did give me a good excuse to leave the office and ride the LS. Any excuse is a good excuse. We're in the season of sudden and violent rainstorms right now. I love this kind of weather, but now I find myself in crisis...'cause I also love to ride the bike, which is hard to do in this kind of weather. I've come home wet a few times already. Started to get frustrated, then reminded myself that this is all part of The Motorcycle Experience, right? At least that's what I told my wife when she started to poke fun at me and the bike. Like her Norwegian relatives say: "There's no bad weather, just bad clothes." Guess I need to get a rain suit.

Happy 4th!

JEFF from Italy
